Strategies for Increasing Job Satisfaction Through Personal Development and Career Path Optimization

The objective of this study is to examine strategies for increasing job satisfaction through personal development and career path optimization among employees in various organizations in Tehran. This study employed a qualitative research design with a phenomenological approach. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with 25 employees and managers from various organizations in Tehran. A purposive sampling method was used, and the sample size was determined based on theoretical saturation. Thematic analysis was conducted using NVivo software. The findings revealed that personal development, career path optimization, and organizational support are three key factors in enhancing job satisfaction. Personal development improves through skill acquisition, increased self-awareness, and professional networking. Career path optimization includes strategic planning, internal promotion opportunities, and career shifts, all of which contribute to increased motivation and job security. Additionally, organizational support, job autonomy, and reward systems play a crucial role in fostering employee commitment and motivation. The results of this study indicate that personal development and a well-planned career path, combined with organizational support, significantly impact job satisfaction. These findings can help organizations and HR managers implement more effective strategies to enhance workplace conditions and employee motivation.
