Author Guidelines

The Journal of Personal Development and Organizational Transformation welcomes original, high-quality research articles, review articles, and case studies that contribute to the fields of personal development, organizational transformation, leadership, human resource management, and related disciplines. All submitted manuscripts must be written in Persian, except for the required English abstract and extended abstract.

The journal follows APA style for citations, references, and overall manuscript formatting. Authors must ensure that their manuscripts comply with these guidelines before submission. Manuscripts that do not adhere to the formatting requirements may be returned for revision prior to peer review.

Manuscript Structure and Formatting

1. Article Length

  • Research Articles: Between 6,000 and 8,000 words, including references.
  • Review Articles: Between 7,000 and 10,000 words, including references.
  • Case Studies: Between 5,000 and 7,000 words, including references.

2. Language and Fonts

  • The full text of the article must be written in Persian.
  • Persian text must be in "B Lotus" font, size 14, with 1.5 line spacing.
  • English sections (abstract and extended abstract) must be in "Times New Roman," size 12, with 1.5 line spacing.

3. Manuscript Components

Each manuscript should contain the following sections:

A. Title Page

  • The article’s title in Persian and English (concise and informative, maximum 20 words).
  • Author(s) full name(s), institutional affiliation(s), and email address(es).
  • Corresponding author details, including full name, affiliation, and email.

B. Persian Abstract

  • A structured abstract in Persian (between 200–250 words).
  • The abstract should include the following subsections: Objective, Methods and Materials, Findings, Conclusion, and Keywords (3–6 keywords).

C. English Abstract

  • A structured abstract in English (200–250 words) with the same subsections as the Persian abstract.
  • The English abstract must be an accurate translation of the Persian abstract.

D. Extended Abstract (English, 1000–1500 words)

  • The extended abstract must be written in English and provide a comprehensive summary of the article.
  • It should include Introduction, Methods and Materials, Findings, Discussion, and Conclusion.
  • The Introduction should clearly present the research background and significance.
  • The Methods and Materials section should outline the research methodology.
  • The Findings section must include specific results with statistical values.
  • The Discussion should analyze findings and compare them with prior research.
  • The Conclusion should summarize key takeaways and practical implications.
  • The extended abstract must be written in Times New Roman, size 12, 1.5 line spacing.

E. Main Body (Persian Text)

  • Introduction: Explain the research background, problem statement, and objectives.
  • Methods and Materials: Provide details about research design, data collection, sampling, and analysis.
  • Findings: Present key results, including tables and figures (if applicable).
  • Discussion: Interpret findings in relation to previous research.
  • Conclusion: Summarize key insights, contributions, and recommendations.
  • References: All references must follow APA style (7th edition) and be listed in Persian at the end of the manuscript.

4. Tables and Figures

  • Tables and figures must be numbered sequentially and properly referenced in the text.
  • Titles of tables and figures must be in Persian (Times New Roman font, size 12 for table/figure titles).
  • Figures must be in high resolution (300 dpi or higher).

5. Citation and Referencing (APA Style)

  • All in-text citations and references must follow APA 7th edition formatting.

  • Persian sources should be cited in Persian script, while English sources must be cited in Latin script.

  • The reference list must be alphabetized and include complete publication details.

  • Example of in-text citation: (Smith, 2020).

  • Example of Persian reference:

    • نویسنده، الف. ب. (سال). عنوان کتاب. ناشر.
  • Example of English reference:

    • Smith, J. (2020). Organizational transformation strategies. Oxford University Press.

6. Submission Guidelines

  • Manuscripts must be submitted in Microsoft Word (DOCX) format.
  • The submission must include:
    • A cover letter stating the manuscript’s originality and confirming it is not under review elsewhere.
    • The main manuscript file, including all sections (title, abstract, extended abstract, main text, references).
    • Any supplementary materials, such as datasets or appendices (if applicable).
  • Submissions must be sent via the journal’s online submission system or official email.

7. Ethical Considerations

  • Authors must ensure that their work is original and free from plagiarism.
  • The iThenticate plagiarism detection software will be used for all submitted manuscripts.
  • Any research involving human participants must provide evidence of ethical approval and informed consent.
  • All conflicts of interest and funding sources must be disclosed in the Acknowledgments section.

8. Peer-Review Process

  • The journal follows a double-blind peer-review system.
  • Each manuscript will be reviewed by two or three independent reviewers with expertise in the relevant field.
  • Reviewers will evaluate:
    • Originality and significance of the research.
    • Methodological rigor and validity.
    • Clarity, coherence, and adherence to academic standards.
  • The average review time is 6–8 weeks, and authors may be required to revise their manuscript before acceptance.

9. Article Processing Charges (APC)

  • 1,500,000 Tomans per accepted manuscript.
  • There are no submission fees. The APC is only applicable upon acceptance for publication.

10. Archiving and Copyright Policy

  • Authors retain full copyright of their work under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC 4.0).
  • The journal allows self-archiving of pre-print and post-print versions in institutional repositories and personal websites.
  • All published articles are permanently archived on the journal’s website for free access.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • This submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  • All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
  • All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
  • Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.
