This study was conducted with the aim of validating the social responsibility model of cultural managers in the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance. Social responsibility, as one of the fundamental pillars of modern management, emphasizes organizations’ commitment to society, the environment, and ethical values. Despite the expansion of this concept in industrial and economic domains, cultural organizations have received comparatively limited attention.
In terms of purpose, this research is applied, and methodologically, it adopts a descriptive–survey design. The statistical population consisted of managers and experts of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance in Tehran (N = 384), who were selected through stratified random sampling. Data were collected using a researcher-developed questionnaire based on a five-point Likert scale. The validity of the instrument was confirmed by subject-matter experts, and its reliability was verified with a Cronbach’s alpha coefficient exceeding 0.7. Data analysis was performed using confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modeling (SEM) in PLS software. The research model was adapted from Rahimi’s dissertation (2025). The findings indicated that all identified dimensions have a positive and statistically significant effect on the overarching construct of “social responsibility” at the 0.01 level of significance. Furthermore, the overall goodness-of-fit index of the model (GOF = 0.59) suggests an acceptable level of model validity. Accordingly, the extracted model can serve as a localized and scientific framework for enhancing accountability, transparency, and sustainable cultural development within cultural organizations in Iran.
